Report urges greater progress in eco denim finishing

Study based on data from Jeanologia’s EIM platform confirms progress in water and energy but highlights chemical impact as key challenge

VALENCIA - The global denim industry is continuing to make progress in reducing its environmental impact but more work is required across the supply chain to improve its performance, according to a new report.

The study, titled ‘Denim Industry Progress & Insights 2025’, is the second edition of an annual report based on data from EIM (Environmental Impact Measurement), a global reference platform developed by the Spanish denim finishing technology specialist Jeanologia for measuring the environmental impact of garment finishing.
