BGMEA signs twin supply chain deals

BGMEA has signed separate agreements with GIZ and Open Supply Hub to cover sustainability, transparency, traceability and compliance in Bangladesh’s garment sector

BGMEA member factories will be incorporated into Open Supply Hub’s global mapping platform.

DHAKA – The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has signed two memorandums of understanding aimed at improving sustainability, transparency and international market access for Bangladesh’s ready-made garment industry.

The first agreement, with German international cooperation agency GIZ, will run from May 2026 to February 2028 and the second is an MoU with Open Supply Hub to strengthen transparency in the country’s apparel sector, by digitally presenting factory information through an open-source global supply chain platform.
