Carbon capture startup LanzaTech to build Danish plant

COPENHAGEN — US synthetic biology specialist LanzaTech has agreed a deal with the Technical University of Denmark’s (DTU) BRIGHT institute to design and install a next-generation C1 biofoundry to convert captured carbon into fuels, chemicals and materials.

LanzaTech, which has previously linked up with brands including H&M and Zara to produce clothing made with captured carbon emissions, wlll build the customised facility at DTU under the partnership which runs until April 2028.
