Heriot-Watt research says major luxury groups are complying with France’s vigilance law in form, but not in substance
EDINBURGH - Luxury fashion firms are still failing to provide meaningful supply chain transparency under France’s Devoir de Vigilance law, according to research from Heriot-Watt University.
Published in the Social Responsibility Journal, the study reviewed seven years of disclosures from luxury French fashion houses LVMH, Kering, L’Oréal Luxe, Hermès and Dior, and found widespread technical compliance but limited evidence of practical oversight.
