Morocco textile recycling trials flag potential

RABAT — Recycling Morocco’s textile waste at scale could attract up to $1.9 billion in private investment and generate more than 30,000 jobs, according to new analysis from the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Pilot trials under the Morocco Textile Circularity programme more than doubled their original targets, turning 427 metric tons of pre-consumer textile offcuts into new manufacturing feedstock, with a further 2,400 tons now committed for recycling.
