Three EU states demand fast fashion crackdown

Germany, France and the Netherlands have called for coordinated European action to tighten rules on ultra-fast fashion

LUXEMBOURG — Germany, France and the Netherlands have urged the European Commission to strengthen existing and planned EU rules against short-lived, low-quality textiles.

The three member states said they wanted the Commission to better define and regulate ultra-fast fashion, and to make EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) provisions on recycled content, durability and recyclability more stringent for textiles.
