Vietnam sounds out H&M, Syre

HANOI – Vietnam has invited H&M Group and its textile-to-textile recycling partner Syre to help shape new rules for a more sustainable textile, garment and footwear sector, as the country tests how far circularity can be integrated into its own industry.

Syre – formed with backing from H&M and Vargas – has already identified Vietnam as a base for polyester textile-to-textile recycling and has been granted an investment certificate in Binh Dinh province.
