Kappahl buys majority in Arkivet

GOTHENBURG — Kappahl Group has agreed to buy a majority stake in the Arkivet Second Hand chain, positioning the Nordic retailer to accelerate its shift towards circular business models and expand resale across its core markets.

The purchase formalises a partnership under which Arkivet will continue to operate its 'Modern Second Hand' concept while leveraging Kappahl’s scale, brand portfolio and store network. The companies did not disclose the size of the stake or the value of the transaction.
