Brazilian denim supplier signs up to buy 20% of Sonovia, backing an ultrasonic dyeing process that cuts chemical use
TEL AVIV — Brazilian denim maker Vicunha has signed a memorandum of understanding to invest 2.4 million shekels ($700,000) in Israeli ultrasonic dyeing pioneer Sonovia for a 20% stake.
The move gives Vicunha a foothold in a dyeing process that uses sound waves to push indigo into fabric, reducing reliance on conventional chemicals used in denim finishing.
