Better Cotton backs Uzbek standards push

GENEVA — The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation to support stronger agricultural standards in one of the world’s largest cotton‑producing countries.

The government body oversees regulations and quality controls on domestically produced and imported goods, with the MoU focused on cotton sector policy and field‑level practice.
