Archroma honoured for sulphur dye breakthrough

ICIS Innovation Award recognises how FiberColors creates sustainable dyes from wool waste

PRATTELN – Textile chemical specialist Archroma has won a 2026 ICIS Innovation Award for its ‘FiberColors’ pigment, its latest dyeing technology that is synthesised with at least 50% wool waste.

Named in the ‘Best Product Innovation from a Large Company’ category, the high-sulphur dye range is designed to reduce industry reliance on fossil-based inputs while contributing to the circular economy by upcycling unwanted wool that farmers would otherwise pay to dispose of.
