Marmara University researchers urge textile manufacturers to digitise traceability, repair and end-of-life data before EU rules tighten
ISTANBUL — Turkish textile and apparel manufacturers risk losing export orders unless they digitise product data and build circularity into design, Marmara University academics warned at Texhibition.
Prof Ismail Usta, head of the university’s textile engineering department, told delegates that forthcoming EU digital product passport requirements would demand traceable information across a product’s life cycle.
