The coat is made from 95% recycled polyester and combines a recyclable laminate with a PFAS-free treatment

PLYMOUTH – British activewear brand BAM has unveiled what it calls the UK’s first completely recyclable waterproof coat, which features a PFAS-free finish and take-back guarantee.

Every component – membrane, adhesive, fabric and trims – is made from polyester using 95% recycled materials, meaning the coat could be mechanically recycled in one go, except for the recyclable and removable zip head, which BAM says its recycling plant could remove before processing.
