Foam-based process produces whiteness and water repellency without titanium dioxide pigments or PFAS
KYOTO – Researchers at Kyoto University’s Institute for Integrated Cell Material Sciences (iCeMS) have developed a foam-based materials platform that they say produces strong whiteness and water repellency without titanium dioxide (TiO₂) pigments or PFAS.
The approach could be used to create pigment- and PFAS-free white, water-repellent films and textile materials, as well as high-resolution white patterns for printing and packaging applications.
