Cotton market tightens amid logistics risks

Supply deficits, Brazilian freight risks and African trade uncertainty shape ICAC’s cotton outlook in September

WASHINGTON DC – The International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) has released its September global cotton review, highlighting a tightening global balance, Brazil’s growing logistics exposure, Ethiopia’s expansion and questions over the future of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA).

Senior broker at StoneX Financial, Valentin Olah, describes the market outlook as “constructive but cautious”.
