Patagonia has joined the ACT initiative, shifting its living-wage strategy towards collective bargaining and purchasing-practice reform

VENTURA – Patagonia has joined the ACT (Action, Collaboration, Transformation) initiative, moving its living-wage programme towards an industry-wide model based on collective bargaining, responsible purchasing practices and engagement with governments in sourcing countries.

The outdoor apparel brand set a goal in 2015 for all workers in its supply chain to earn a living wage by 2025. In a recent statement, however, the company acknowledged that progress could not be secured through action at individual supplier factories alone.
