The country’s textile sector closes in on $47.5 billion export goal with sustainability pushes and digital upgrades

HANOI – The country’s textile and garment industry is stepping up green and digital transformation to hit its $47–47.5 billion export target for 2026, with preliminary turnover reaching $33.66 billion by mid-September, according to the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS).

The sector is increasing efforts to retain orders, diversify markets, increase localisation of raw materials and accelerate sustainable and digital transformation amid global market volatility and increasingly stringent international trade standards.
