Global textile business conditions improved in September, but weak demand, rising costs and US tariffs keep the sector under pressure
ZURICH – Business conditions in the global textile industry improved slightly in September but remain relatively weak, according to the latest survey from the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF).
The global order backlog shortened slightly to 2.3 months. It has stayed within a range of two to 2.5 months since mid-2023, as most companies work only on confirmed orders.
