The tapeless fastening system claims weight savings and individual-tooth repairs, although fabric compatibility and premium pricing remain constraints
MUNICH — Zipper developer No Tape is promoting a fastening system that attaches zipper teeth directly to garment fabric, removing the conventional textile tape.
The company says the approach can cut zipper weight by 30% to 50%, improve flexibility and allow individual damaged teeth to be replaced.
It presented the technology at Performance Days in Munich.
