Bid to create dataset for global supply chains

SOUTHAMPTON – An international partnership of leading organisations is working together to set up a new location dataset for global supply chains to help reduce environmental and social impacts.

The Ordnance Survey (OS) UK national mapping agency, software company Esri UK, accountants Deloitte, US Earth imaging company Planet Labs PBC and supply chain mapping specialist Trase are all involved in the project.

The Supply Chain Data Partnership (SCDP) aims to establish a certified international supply chain registry of production facilities for a range of sectors, including fashion and textiles.
