VIENNA – Suzano, the world’s largest producer of cellulosic pulp is to buy a 15% stake in Lenzing from the Austrian textile fibre supplier’s majority shareholder – and has the option to double its stake by the end of 2028.

Located in Brazil – where Lenzing completed what was billed as the ‘world’s largest dissolving wood pulp plant’ – Suzano says this investment will allow it to improve and scale its market access and move it closer to end-consumers.

Suzano also has interests in Finnish wood pulp supplier Spinnova.
