Reconomy and ReNewShoe collaboration aims to simplify footwear recycling process

the global footwear industry is producing around  24.3 billion pairs of shoes each year

Waste and resource management specialist Reconomy has partnered with footwear recycling firm ReNewShoe to make it easier for consumers to recycle their end-of-life shoes, keep valuable materials in use, and reduce landfill and incineration waste.

The collaboration will see ReNewShoe take old shoes and completely recycle them to produce reusable raw materials such as rubber, foam, fluff and leather.
