Textile treatment enables salt-free dyeing of cellulose-based fabrics with claims of environmental and cost benefits

Swiss material science company Livinguard Technologies has launched a new treatment which it claims enables the completely salt-free dyeing of cellulose fabrics.

The Livinguard EFD (economically and environmentally friendly dyeing) technology involves a cationization pre-treatment to achieve salt-free dyeing that is said to achieve an almost complete exhaustion of the dyestuff on the fabric.
