About 500 workers at factory in the Philippines were shocked to be handed termination papers instead of holiday bonuses
ANGELES CITY - Hong Kong–based garment manufacturer Charter Link Clark has come under fire from unions and anti‑poverty campaigners after terminating around 500 workers at its factory in the Philippines during a company Christmas party.
The plant, in the Clark Freeport Zone near Angeles City, has supplied athleisure brand Lululemon and Canadian sustainable apparel label Tentree.
