EU project claims a key milestone as circular algae systems move from design into demonstrated textile applications
AMSTERDAM — EU research project Locality has established three circular algae ecosystems across the North Sea and Baltic regions, including one aimed at textile wastewater and algae-based pigments.
The milestone, announced on the project's website, links microalgae cultivation to industrial side streams from greenhouse horticulture, aquaculture and textile manufacturing.
