Carbios warns that closing the finance for its flagship Longlaville PET biorecycling plant will slip beyond September target, pushing back start of production

CLERMONT-FERRAND — Carbios has reaffirmed its commitment to building its Longlaville PET biorecycling plant in France but says the financing timetable has slipped again amid ongoing due diligence by lenders and project partners.

The French biotechnology company said several banking partners have now secured approval from their credit committees, marking what it called “a major step forward in the financing process” for the first‑of‑its‑kind project, which is designed to treat post‑consumer PET packaging and polyester textile waste using enzymatic depolymerisation.
