Proposed acquisition would bring key yarn-development capabilities in-house as it seeks to commercialise its wood- and waste-based fibre
JYVÄSKYLÄ – Textile fibre innovator Spinnova has signed a non-binding letter of intent to acquire current partner and Portuguese yarn spinning company Tearfil.
The move would secure dedicated yarn development and spinning capabilities for Spinnova fibre. It intends to shorten development cycles, provide greater control over fibre conversion into customer-ready yarns and accelerate commercialisation.
