COIMBATORE — Researchers have tested leaf waste from sisal production as a natural dye for cotton, reporting colouration and fastness results following a laboratory optimisation study.
The study, published in the Scientific Reports peer-reviewed journal, examined extracts from Agave sisalana leaves, an agro-industrial residue generated during sisal fibre processing.
