Major green factory opens in Bangladesh
 One of Bangladesh's leading garment manufacturers, which supplies to the likes of M&S, Gap Inc, H&M, Primark, PVH and Debenhams, has opened a new green factory which has been LEED certified by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) for its eco-friendly measures.

Leading Italian businesses, Carvico and Jersey Lomellina, which produce high-tech knitted fabrics for swimwear, sportswear, underwear and outerwear, have announced their participation in the Healthy Seas initiative which works to up-cycle marine waste for new textile products.

Remediation process in Bangladesh still dragging

Just two Bangladeshi garment factories have been verified as having completed all initial remediation and received recognition letters from the Bangladesh Accord on Fire and Building Safety's chief safety inspector according to the Accord's latest Advisory Board update on efforts by Bangladesh garment factories to implement safety measures.
