GENEVA – IndustriALL Global Union, the organisation which represents garment workers from across the world, has signed a global framework agreement with fashion brand Esprit which signals a commitment to protect and promote the human rights of workers in the brand’s supply chain.
Hailed as “a big step forward for Esprit and for half a million people working in their global supply chain,” the union claims the agreement will offer protection to around 525,000 workers in 27 countries which make up Esprit’s vast global supply chain.
