LONDON – A survey commissioned by e-commerce and retail AI platform Nosto has found that of a sample of 2,000 consumers split across the UK and United States, more than half (52 per cent) want the fashion industry to become more sustainable, with the reduction of packaging and a greater use of renewable or recyclable materials cited amongst the most popular suggestions for progression.

The survey’s findings also indicate that there may need to be greater consumer education on the matter, as only 23 per cent of consumers admit to having a “good idea what fashion brands mean when they say they’re committed to sustainability.”
