BERLIN – Zalando says that following an increase in environmental search terms on its web platform, it will onboard apparel brands such as Ecoalf, Mud Jeans, Swe-s, Girlfriend Collective, and Stripe + Stare over the next few weeks as it continues to flag up ‘sustainable’ choices on its website.
The European online retailer says its current ‘sustainable’ fashion assortment already consists of more than 15,000 items, from over 240 different brands, and reports that its decision to flag up items that are either certified to environmental standards or made from environmentally preferential raw materials has proved to be a success.
Sara Diez, Vice President Womenswear at Zalando noted: “Our current fashion assortment with a sustainability benefit is already one of the largest available in Europe, but we’re just getting started.”
