OSLO - Finnish fibre company Spinnova and Norwegian brand Bergans have entered a long-term product development partnership aimed at producing sustainable outdoor clothing.
They are working on prototype products, so far undisclosed, which they aim to scale up commercially through the partnership which was announced at Oslo Innovation Week in the Norwegian capital.
Spinnova claims its cellulose-based fibre contains no disolving or potentially hazardous chemicals and is the world's most sustainable fibre. There is no waste in the production method and its only side product is evaporated water, which is recycled back into the process.
