MUMBAI - Textile manufacturer Birla Cellulose has set a target of reducing its water use, compared to 2015 levels, by 50 per cent by the year 2025.
The company, the world's largest producer of viscose staple fibre (MMF), says it will achieve the reduction through the principles of '3R' - reduce, reuse, recycle.
Dilip Gaur, pulp and fibre business director with the Aditya Birla Group, said Birla Cellulose was in the process of applying the most stringent standards across all of its fibre manufacturing sites.
