LONDON – Luxury fashion retail platform Farfetch has launched a donations service through which customers can return unwanted apparel and donate a portion of the sell-on price to charity.

The UK-based initiative, introduced in collaboration with on-demand donations service Thrift+, encourages consumers to order a donation bag and gift surplus garments for resale.

Takings from each product sold will be split three ways, with a sum given to a charity, a third gifted back to the shopper in the form of Farfetch credit and the final amount used to cover Thrift’s operating costs.
