BOLOGNA – Italian company Erca SpA has developed a new line of textile auxiliaries derived from waste vegetable oil that can be used as levelling and dispersing agents when dyeing polyester.

Sold under the ‘Revecol’ brand, these two new products are bluesign approved and have also been certified the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) – the first time that textile auxiliaries have received this type of certification.

The company says this is only the first step in its move to produce textile chemicals that comply with the principles of the circular economy and will shortly launch two new levelling agents for dyeing polyamide that also come from waste vegetable oil.
