ALAMEDA - VF Corp-owned outdoor apparel brand The North Face is aiming to boost its circular economy credentials by expanding its North Face Renewed programme in which consumers can purchase previously worn or returned clothing that has been repaired or refurbished.

Rotating groups of the company's designers are to attend workshops and immersion sessions at the Renewal Workshop, a company that helps apparel and textile companies breathe new life into old garments.

Renewal Workshop has worked with partners including Carhartt, Mara Hoffman and Osprey to help them learn more about how to design with principles of circularity in mind.
