VANCOUVER – Canadian activewear brand Arc’teryx has set two Science-Based Targets, approved by the namesake initiative, to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Earth Day on April 22.
The brand’s targets address scope one to three greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and look to reduce all by 65 per cent by 2030 through a four-pronged approach which hones in on material usage, renewable energy projects, energy efficiency and circular business models.
“Now more than ever, we see the importance and value of community and we hope to inspire others to join us in this urgent issue,” said Katie Wilson, senior manager, social and environmental sustainability at Arc’teryx.
