PAIMOIO – Finnish design house Marimekko has committed to setting greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction goals in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

The company says it published “ambitious” targets back in 2020 but will look to set “even more determined” objectives in the coming months to ensure its operations align with the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement.

Tiina Alahuhta-Kasko, president and CEO of Marimekko, commented: “Science-based emission reduction targets are an important tool in reaching our ambitious long-term vision of our operations leaving no trace on the environment in the future.”
