ALEXANDRIA – The Water Environment Federation (WEF) is working with sportswear brand Nike and the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) initiative to create a multilingual wastewater operations training programme for the textile industry.

WEF, a not-for-profit technical educational organisation, says the training programme will aim to improve water and wastewater management and treatment throughout global textile supply chains.

The need for improved operator training was identified from analysis of wastewater testing reports made through the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero programme.
