VANCOUVER – Amazon has teamed up with the CanopyStyle initiative in a bid to ensure that by 2022 none of its own private label clothing sold on its platform is made from viscose derived from ancient and endangered forests.
The world’s largest retailer recently announced a time-lined commitment to ensure that all of its private label clothing will not include “rayon or viscose derived from ancient and endangered forests, or from endangered species’ habitats or other controversial sources as defined by Canopy reports and tools.”
