NEW YORK – US apparel company Rent the Runway (RTR) has announced that it is to enter the resale market in a bid to engage new customers after a turbulent past year.  

Now, shoppers will be able to browse the company’s collection of designer garments for purchase, though the rental offering will remain. 

Speaking with Vogue, RTR CEO Jennifer Hyman said: “There's a very broad audience of people who want to consume secondhand, but potentially didn't come to our platform in the past because they weren't ready to subscribe, or they didn't have an upcoming party or event.”
