CHARLOTTE – Elevate Textiles – which owns American & Efird (A&E), Burlington and Cone Denim, amongst others – has received validation of its science based targets (SBTs) from the Science Based Targets initiative.

The company increased its original greenhouse gas emissions target, first detailed in its 2021 Sustainability Report, from a 2.5 per cent per year reduction target to 4.2 per cent.

Approval from the SBTi places Elevate’s brands in market leading positions, with A&E becoming the first thread manufacturer, Burlington the first performance woven fabrics manufacturer, and Cone Denim the first denim mill to receive approved targets.
