SEATTLE – US textile innovator Evrnu has launched NuCycl r-lyocell, a textile fibre made entirely from pre-consumer cotton waste.

The company has worked with designer Carlos Campos to debut the fibre in a range of t-shirts, with Evrnu telling us it will “phase in” additional partnerships over the coming years.

“Production of pulp is scheduled for mid-2023, and the 100 per cent NuCycl r-lyocell fibre by late 2023. We have over 40 clients in the pipeline, and we are working with each of them to gather commitments. We are also working with supply chain partners interested in securing exclusivities to distribute NuCycl to the market,” CEO and co-founder Stacy Flynn said.
