ARTEIXO – Inditex, the owner of Zara and Pull & Bear, has announced a three-year agreement with recycled textile innovator Infinited Fiber Company (IFC) to source its ‘sustainable’ Infinna fibre.
The deal, worth €100 million (US$104m), follows in the footsteps of PVH Corp, which itself entered a multi-year partnership with IFC to adopt its proprietary solution.
“We truly believe innovation is key for the competitive circular future of the fashion industry, which is why we are actively working to find solutions, and searching for new partnerships, processes and materials to achieve textile-to-textile recycling,” noted Javier Losada, Inditex’s chief sustainability officer.
