SINGAPORE – Leading viscose manufacturer Royal Golden Eagle (RGE) has outlined its intention to co-develop urban-fit, closed-loop textile-to-textile recycling solutions at the Sustainable Textile Research Centre (SusTex) it’s founded alongside Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

The company says technologies developed at the research facility will be “test-bedded” in a pilot recycling plant, projected for completion in 2024.

“As the world’s largest viscose producer, we aim to catalyse closed-loop, textile-to-textile recycling by developing optimal urban-fit solutions that can bring the world closer to a circular textile economy,” said RGE’s executive director, Perry Lim.
