NEW YORK – Circular solutions provider Closed Loop Partners (CLP) and renewable power giant Brookfield have teamed up to launch Circular Services, a new venture that aims to radically improve material recycling infrastructure across the United States.
Brookfield is to fund the initiative with an initial US$200 million, though an additional US$500m has been “committed to pursue growth opportunities” via Circular Services.
Ron Gonen, CLP’s founder and chief executive, commented: “Circular Services is building circular economy infrastructure that will serve the financial and environmental interests of cities, consumers, businesses. We are excited to accelerate the transition to the circular economy.”
