N'DJAMENA - The Better Cotton initiative has signed up to a partnership with the IDH sustainable trade initiative and Cotontchad in a bid to make cotton farmers in Chad more resilient to climate change.
The coalition will explore avenues for creating sustainable farming systems in partnership with local stakeholders to improve the climate resilience of smallholder farmers in southern Chad.
The aim is to create positive impacts for farmers and the environment through more sustainable production systems, inclusive land use planning and management, and the protection and regeneration of natural resources.
