STOCKHOLM - Swedish fintech company Klarna has teamed up with climate tech start up Vaayu in a bid to provide consumers with carbon emissions data for more than 50 million fashion products.
Klarna, which offers a buy-now pay-later service to online shoppers, is to include Vaayu's "carbon modelling" data on its Spotlight search tool which compares prices across thousands of retailers.
Vaayu claims its automated technology makes use of both primary data - where available - and secondary data from sources such as lifecycle analysis (LCA) reports to determine emission factors.
