STUTTGART - The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification organisation widened its reach significantly in 2022 with a 10% increase in certified facilities to 13,549 across 84 countries, an increase of 5% compared to the previous year.
The upsurge reported by the non-profit, which aims to offer a voluntary global standard for the production of organic textiles, was also boosted by a 33% increase in GOTS-approved certification bodies with a total of 24 now in operation.
